After much investigation and deep analysis by anonymous "Top Experts" from unknown sources at firms that we can't even talk about, we have gotten to the bottom of the flying saucers.

It is: A white crystalline carbohydrate dispenser for feeding Selasphorus Platycercus

Yup, a hummingbird feeder!

Or it acutally is a flying saucer and it is under attack by a small aircraft with very long attack sabers.

A visit from young friends ... Ben and Andrew are young men whom we have known since their births. They are kids of friends of ours (two different couples ... they are not related!). Both Ben and Andrew live in Boulder, so we were able to convince them to come on up and spend a day with us. We've only seen them on and off over the years as our regular trips west sometimes landed us in places that were nearby and convenient to grab a coffee or a beer with them. On this day, they drove up from Boulder to Breckenridge to see us, and it was great to spend the entire day with them. So, what can you offer young men for a day? A quick snowstorm

It started to snow around 4:00 in the afternoon, and it kept snowing -- it looked like a real storm. We made the smart move to put the car in the garage. Woke up to about 10". So 5 days after we got here in May we got 20"+, and now two weeks before we depart, we get it again! Yup, it looks like a real storm! The next morning. Getting hosed on July 4th

We spent July 4th in Breckenridge at the parade and stayed for all the other events. We thought one event was going to be a water balloon "fight" among the kids, well we got that wrong! We certainly didn't know what was coming, so, when kids started to scream when the Fire Department tower truck started to come up the street, we joined the crowd. Kids started to collect and then the tower ladder started to extend -- more excitement. We were thinking, "What is going on?" or "What is going to happen?" Then they turned the water on!! from underneath the tower bucket. Then the craziness started.... and ultimately Alicia joined in.
